To check that go to Media Player,Tools-options-Devices tab-highight speaker then click on properties, audio device should be default direct sound device.Click on advance, and a pop up box should appear with the settings of your default device. This problem started yesterday, I can currently not get any sound from discord to come through my headphones (Steelseries Siberia v3) with the desktop app. If I change my default device to my computer speakers the sound will come through that, however if I change the default device back to this headset its all silent (though all other games, youtube etc. Will come through the headset).

I'd first like to start off by saying that Discord is a fantastic program and is something I fully support,as it's a voice program that caters very well to both mine and my group of friend's tastes. Hi, I have Steelseries Arctis 5 Headphones. When I first installed them, everything was fine. Then all of a sudden Ark stopped playing sound through them.

I have uninstalled reinstalled all drivers, Verified game cache, Set the headphones as default device. Nothing works, and its been a few months. The strange thing is every single other game has sound through my headset. I have officially gone through the entire list. I cant find much help online, and I am getting desperate, cause I mainly bought these headphones for Ark.

Someone please save me from this problem lol.
